Drop Shotting is here to stay as one of the most effective ways to present a small lure quickly and efficiently to the bottom. 

With the drop shot on the bottom you have the effect of a "weightless" lure action the can be shook or drifted up and down to entice the bite. One of the most important features of the Bakudan is the line gripping swivel, this allows for changing weight without  wasting time tying or retying a knot and also to allow the sinker to "pull-off" if snagged instead of losing the whole rig.
